My new camera: a Quartz 3 Zoom Standard 8mm Soviet-Russian Cine Camera

Today was a bigger day of my amateur film fanatic career. Even at New Year's Eve there are people in love with films, no wonder we agreed with the seller on the 31st of December, 2017 to meet.

Ferenc, the seller is living on the other side of the city, so I got in to my car - a 1998 Opel Corsa B 1.0 - and raced through the city relatively quickly. I did not have much expectation, since we are talking about a camera for 15 (yes, fifteen) euro. 

But, as you can imagine, the thing I found was absolutely a miracle for me. 

DIY Light

Today I finally (again) took actions to have some semi-proper lighting while doing the test with the Fomapan R 100 B/W. I don't have the budget to have proper studio lamps, so I just purchased two 120W light reflector, with 3000K, so fairly warm lights, and we will see how we end up with it. I installed it on the wooden slats. The result is semi-impressing. Their light is a little too warm, but hopefully will be enough. I took a picture of the process and of the result. Later I might install them to a tripod, I already have a spare one.

"Newest" youtube upload - Braun Nizo 136XL footage (Kodak Ektachrome 100D)

This is my newest upload to Youtube, it is very old, more than five years ago I shot it. The footage was hidden in the digital salvage yard of my computer for 5 years. I managed to save it from the cloud today, and present it to you. This particular footage became a wedding video later that summer. Unfortunately this wedding video disappeared during the years or maybe it's just hidden somewhere. Who knows?

Years after - a downgrade in the project

Mostly due to financial difficulties of analog movie films and thus the difficulties of my project I have been silent in the last few years. My personal life was also taking much of my resources and film was not a priority. That is about to change now. 

As the end of the year was approaching the idea to figure something out became stronger by the days. Many days during work I had the urge to find a way to shoot a footage, if only a test.
